Shri Ram Pal (Rampal) Singh served as Mayor of Rudrapur Municipal Corporation from 2 Dec 2018 to 2 Dec 2023. He won election on a BJP ticket. He currently holds the post of Vice-Chairman, State-level Twenty-Point Programme Implementation Committee, Uttarakhand Government.

Public Service Programs
- Citizens’ Outreach & Panchayat: “Regular Jan Samvad meetings were held each quarter to gather citizen feedback on local issues. As Mayor, Ram Pal Singh convened ward-level consultations and addressed grievances by working with ward councillors.”
- Health & Sanitation Drives: “Led door-to-door health camps and the sanitation drive under Swachh Bharat. For example, mobilized volunteers during the Swachhta Pakhwada program and coordinated with Municipal Commissioner on solid waste management.”
- Education & Youth: “Supported scholarships for meritorious students and encouraged sports programs (e.g. distributing funds at a Chief Minister Sports Scholarship ceremony in Rudrapur).”
- Environmental Campaigns: “Champion of local environmental awareness – organized plantation drives during Harela and clean-up events in schools and temples.”
- Infrastructure & Development Coordination: “Coordinated development of roads and community facilities with state agencies. For instance, at the CM’s July 2023 event, projects like a new auditorium and CBG plant were unveiled.”
- Social Welfare: “Facilitated distribution of government aid (e.g. ration kits during COVID lockdowns), and advocated for timely payment of pensions and subsidies.”

- Infrastructure: “Improve roads, drainage, water supply and connectivity. Recent work included road widening projects in Transit Camp and proposals for a Rudrapur Ring Road.”
- Environment & Cleanliness: “Promote green city initiatives and waste management in line with the Green-Clean City campaign. Expand tree planting (e.g. Harela festival drives) and make waste-to-energy (CBG plant) a reality.”
- Housing & Land Reform: “Ensure housing for all through Nazul land reform (as mentioned by Rampal Singh) and slum redevelopment.”
- Health & Education: “Strengthen local health infrastructure (e.g. ESIC hospital support) and focus on education and skill training.”
- Governance & Transparency: “Enhance e-governance, citizen grievance redressal, and participatory budgeting.”
